Striking a Balance; Reconciling Democratic Citizenship and Epistemic Agency

Being a good epistemic agent is good for democracy, right? Well… It seems that at least sometimes, responsible epistemic agency conflicts with democratic ideals. Yet, it doesn’t seem we can just abandon epistemic norms altogether. I sketch a way out of this dilemma by motivating a zetetic conception of democracy.
